October 2010 will be all about The High Elves!
I nearly dropped my iPhone when I read this article: Incoming: High Eves by Adam Troke! The month of October will be entirely focused on the High Elves. New models, tactics, painting tips and a White Dwarf focused entirely on the race. Check out this snipped below:
This October is a great time for the children of Ulthuan and High Elf players around the Studio have been getting excited in preparation. Not only is Games Workshop releasing a veritable host of fantastic new High Elf miniatures, but the website and White Dwarf will also be packed full of High Elf-related goodness, from tactics articles to step-by-step painting advice and swathes of new background.(snip…)
The pages of White Dwarf will also contain more information in coming months as well as a special High Elf-focused issue in October that no High Elf collector, nor fan of the background of Warhammer, will want to miss.
Here is what the rumor mill at Warseer has gathered: Harry, who has proven in the past quite reliable, has heard that the new models are Dragon Princes, White Lions and Pheonix Guards. He has also added he heard of some new metal characters and other stuff.
All I can say is AWESOME! We are finally getting new models! I’m hoping for new Spear Elves and Silver Helm as well as the plastic Swordmasters. How about you? What are you hoping for?

Awesome! I cannot wait for October! I think they’ll do Drangon Princes, but make it a plastic 2 in 1 set, Dragon Princes AND Silver Helms
One of the elite infantry units that are in metal now are sure to be redone (I’m going with White Lions and Shadow Warriors) Something bigger will probably be done too, Great Eagles? Bolt Throwers?6 And at least one metal model (Teclis or Tyrinion I think 
)

Hopfully they’ll do a Spearman/Sea Guard/Archer box set, I hate all those models :L

Hey Mark,
GET OUT OF HERE! A 2 for 1 kit for DP and SH, that is just mind numbing awesome! I can imagine the amount of customization possibilities. If you look at the pictures of the Reavers in the box set at: http://www.highelves.net/rumored-contents-of-the-new-8th-edition-warhammer-boxed-set/
You can get a hint of what is going to happen! I heard that the body and horse are one part, that means the tops can be interchangeable!
It is looking like the SM are now in plastic, unless like the Dwarf and Gobbo box set (Battle Skull Pass), the box set minis are specific to the box sets.
Oh and yes I don’t really mind the Archers, but I think the Spearman/LSG are in need of a lot of work to stop them from looking like they need to air their arm pits all the time!

Agreed on the Spearmens arm pits
I admit, the Archers aren’t as bad as the Spearmen, but the heads, they’re simply awful. They look so fat! :L
AND THE 8TH EDITION BOX SET IS HIGH ELVES?! Result! I love the look of those Reavers, and all the others too, especially the Swordmasters, even if they are a bit chunky :l
